The St Enodoc Hotel lies in a sheltered position on the edge of Cornwall's rugged north coast. In the heart of Rock, a summertime Mecca for sailing and water-skiing, the hotel is set within the most beautiful and dramatic scenery that Cornwall has to offer. The rooms have been designed to feel fresh, welcoming and with an eye to comfort and style. Original paintings add wit and splashes of colour while in many rooms the windows frame the ever-changing picture of the Camel estuary. The changing light over the estuary and the different seasons is just one of the many reasons to keep coming back to this magical spot.

The Top Ten Restaurants to Take the Kids by Dinah Hatch

"Sheltering in a divinely scenic spot on Cornwall’s north coast overlooking the Camel estuary, your offspring are treated like royalty here (and this spot knows how to treat royalty – Princes William and Harry have popped in for a spot of sailing here many a time). Staff are super relaxed with children and not at all bothered if they run off between courses to sample the playroom which is stocked with table tennis, a TV, table football and way too many toys. If you’re staying the night, there’s a communal kids’ tea laid on and babysitting to boot."
