Hill of Tarvit Mansion House

Hill of Tarvit Mansion House, originally the site of the 17th century Wemyss Hall, was completely remodelled by Robert Lorimer for Frederick Sharp, in 1906. All the rooms have been designed in a certain style, with matching furniture and paintings. Home to notable collections that include French, Chippendale-style and vernacular furniture, Dutch paintings and pictures by Raeburn and Ramsay, Flemish tapestries and Chinese porcelain and bronzes. The interior is very much in the Edwardian fashion, and has changed little. In the spectacular gardens, also designed by Lorimer, are a tennis court, croquet lawn and curling pond.
