Beningbrough Hall & Gardens

Beningbrough Hall is an imposing Georgian mansion built in 1716 and containing one of the most impressive Baroque interiors in England. The plan of the house is old fashioned with the state bedrooms on the ground floor. On the first floor an unusual central corridor runs the length of the house. It is filled with 18th century treasures including over 100 pictures on loan from the National Portrait Gallery. Also a fully equipped Victorian laundry, a delightful walled garden, potting shed, and sculptures in wood.
