Lydiard House
Lydiard House, was rescued from decay and is now a beautifully restored Georgian mansion, was the ancestral home of the Bolingbrokes. The main rooms have rich plasterwork ceilings with fine furniture and a family picture collection. The dining room still has its 18th century damask flock wallpaper. Other features include a rare 17th century Huguenot painted glass window and a room dedicated to the 18th century artist Lady Diana Spencer along with her portrait. The grounds are in the process of being restored.
