Charleston
Virginia Woolf´s sister, Vanessa Bell, moved to Charleston in 1916 with fellow artist Duncan Grant and their unconventional household. They transformed the house with decorations, painting the walls, doors and furniture in their own unique and inspirational style and collecting paintings and works of art. Charleston became the country meeting place for writers and artists known as the Bloomsbury group.
