Broughton Castle


Broughton Castle is a historic 14th and 16th century moated manor house owned by the Fiennes family for over 600 years, and still lived in by their descendants Lord and Lady Saye & Sele. In the 17th century it was used as a secret meeting place for the opponents of Charles I. Fine panelling and plasterwork and Civil War memorabilia are on display. Formal walled garden and selection of mixed borders.

Opening Times: 1 May to 15 Sep, Wed, Sun & BH Mons 14:00-17:00. Also Thu in Jul & Aug. Groups by prior arrangement all year.
Admission: Adult £7.00, Child £3.00, OAP £6.00.
