Seaton Delaval Hall

Seaton Delaval Hall: Admiral Delaval commissioned Sir John Vanbrugh to build the hall in 1718. The family originally came from France but came here with Duke William of Normandy in 1066. The family never lived in the hall again after the death of John Delaval in 1880. It is now occupied by the present Lord Hastings.
