Oxburgh Hall, Garden and Estate

Oxburgh Hall is a moated manor house with a magnificent Tudor gatehouse, built in 1482 by the Bedingfeld family, who still live there today. The rooms show how the house developed over the years from medieval to Victorian comfort, and include an outstanding display of embroidery by Mary Queen of Scots and Bess of Hardwick. The Kings Room is panelled and hung with tapestries and in a corner is an accessible priest´s hole. There are attractive gardens with a French parterre, walled garden, orchard and delightful woodland walks.
