Belvoir Castle
Belvoir Castle is the home of the Duke & Duchess of Rutland with stunning views over the Vale of Belvoir. The castle was rebuilt after it was almost destroyed by fire in 1816. One of the finest collections of 18th and 19th century pictures, furniture, tapestry, porcelain and sculpture in a private collection. The Queen´s Royal Lancers Museum at the castle has a fine collection of weapons, uniforms and medals. The extensive grounds and gardens are being restored to their former glory with rare specimen trees, some of which are the largest in the British Isles.
