Croft Castle is 15th century and has recently had a major refurbishment and has been the home of the Croft family since Doomsday. Fine interiors display period furnishings and paintings, including works by Gainsborough and Lawrence. Many of the books are by members of the Croft family. The gardens have pleasant walks and lime and ancient Spanish chestnut avenues run through the park.

Opening Times: Castle: 16-24 Feb, Daily, 13:00-16:30, 3 Mar to 3 Nov, Daily, 13:00-17:00, 9 Nov to 22 Dec, Sat & Sun, 13:00-16:30. Admission to castle between 10:00-13:00 by tour only. Castle Tours: 16-24 Feb, Daily 10:30-13:00, 2 Mar to 3 Nov, Daily 10:30-13:00, 9 Nov to 22 Dec, Sat & Sun 10:30-13:00.
Admission: NT Members Free. See NT website for admission prices.
Dog Friendly: Dogs Permitted (On leads and only in parkland)
Location: Five miles north west of Leominster, nine miles soth west of Ludlow; approach from B4362, turning north at Cock Gate between Bircher and Mortimer´s Cross.
