Michelham Priory & Gardens

Dating back to the 13th century, Michelham Priory boasts the longest water filled medieval moat in England. Of particular interest are the remains of the former Augustinian Priory that evolved into this splendid Tudor mansion with its 14th century gatehouse. Displayed are furniture, tapestries and artefacts tracing the property´s religious origins and local history. A kitchen garden, cloister garden, physic garden, a Rope museum, a working watermill, forge and a 16th century barn are all set in the 7 acres of beautiful landscaped grounds.
