Stanford Hall

Stanford Hall, built in the 1690s for Sir Roger Cave, is still home to his descendants. The panelled library contains many historical documents and a family Bible embroidered in silk in 1629. Throughout the house are family portraits, a collection of Royal Stuart portraits and early Tudor portraits. The dining room displays an unusual collection of family costumes and an Empire chandelier. The Hall is set in parkland with a walled rose garden on the banks of the Avon.
