Eastnor Castle

Eastnor Castle, a `fairytale´ castle in medieval style, was designed in 1812 by John First Earl Somers. A 60ft high Hall leads to a series of state rooms and a Gothic Drawing Room. The Library is decorated in the style of the Italian Renaissance. The restored interiors contain unrivalled collections of armour, British and Italian paintings, and Italian furniture. In the gardens are terraces leading to a 21 acre lake and an arboretum containing a famous collection of mature specimen trees.
