Ickworth House, Park & Gardens
Ickworth House was created by the eccentric Earl of Bristol, with its central rotunda and curved corridors, to house his superb collection of paintings by Titian, Gainsborough, Reynolds and Velasquez, and a magnificent Georgian silver collection. In the drawing room are two fine Portugese pier glasses in heavy gilt Rococo. The house is surrounded by an Italian garden, an orangery and temple rose garden, and set in a Capability Brown park with woodland walks, deer enclosure, vineyard, church, canal and lake.
