The fine collection of English furniture dates from the Jacobean period to late Victorian. Grade 1 listed gardens with world famous topiary pyramids, fountains and the River Piddle. The dovecote is one of the earliest in Dorset with a capacity for 1200 birds. New for 2006, a gallery in the west wing exhibiting works by the Russian artist Marevna who lived at the house during the 1940s and 50s.
