Buckland Abbey

Buckland Abbey was originally a small but influential 13th century Cistercian monastery and the former home of Sir Francis Drake. It contains interesting memorabilia of his travels and adventures, and exhibitions of seven centuries of history at Buckland. Outside is a magnificent monastic barn, craft workshop, herb garden and delightful estate walks.
