Moseley Old Hall

Moseley Old Hall is an Elizabethan timberwork house, built in 1600 by Henry Pitt, it was clad in red brick in 1870. It is famous for its association with Charles 11, who hid here after the Battle of Worcester in 1651. The hiding place he used and the bed he slept in can be viewed. On display are a good collection of 17th century oak furniture, panelling and pewter. The attic contains a small chapel and in the roof are many cramped priest holes. The garden has a formal knot garden and is full of 17th century plants and herbs.
