Peckover House and Garden


Peckover House and Garden, facing the River Nene built in 1722. This merchant“s town house is renowned for its fine plaster and wood rococo decoration and also displays on the Quaker banking family who owned it. It houses an interesting collection of paintings and portraits, the breakfast room has a collection of watercolours including works by Cotman and Cox. The rare 2-acre Victorian garden includes an orangery, summer houses, herbaceous borders and croquet lawn.
