Osterley Park House
Robert Adam was commissioned in 1761 to transform Osterley Park House from a Tudor mansion into this neo-classical villa. The spectacular interiors contain one of Britain´s most complete examples of Adam´s work. Designed for entertaining, it contains beautiful carpets, furniture and decorated plasterwork all specially made for the house. The Gallery houses a collection of paintings that includes work by Cuyp and Marieschi, and in the Tapestry Room the walls are covered with tapestry in the same pattern as on the furniture. The 16th century stable block, largely intact, is still in use today. Set in landscaped parkland with lakes and farmland.
