Capesthorne Hall

Capesthorne Hall, the home of the Bromley Davenports since 1726, is a popular stately home in Cheshire open to the public on Sunday and Monday afternoons from Good Friday to the end of October. The entrance hall is a feast of historical paintings, British and European antique furniture, 16th stained glass windows and marble sculptures. Beyond is the sculpture gallery, the saloon with its family portraits, ebony furniture and bronzes and the Queen Anne Room with a monumental fireplace and heraldic mantelpiece surrounded by paintings, marbles and fine porcelain. From the glamorous drawing room with its sparkling chandeliers the staircase winds up to first floor exhibition rooms - the Royal Bedroom, Bow Room, Child's Room, American Room, Dorothy Davenport Room and Box Room. Outside are tranquil gardens, serene lakes and plenty of glamorous perennials to wash the grounds with spectacular spring and summer colour.

Capesthorne Hall also has a Garden:
