Claydon House
The architecture of Claydon House includes extravagant rococo and chinoiserie decoration, with a unique Chinese Room and parquetry Grand Staircase that is so precious no one is allowed to use it. The house was occupied by the Verney family for over 380 years and the family museum contains mementoes of Florence Nightingale, who was a regular visitor, along with military uniforms, weapons, costume and musical instruments. From the tall windows there are views of the parkland and lake.
