Chiswick House
Chiswick House, close to the centre of London is one of England´s finest Palladian villas, designed by the third Earl of Burlington and built between 1725 and 1729. It was inspired by the architecture of ancient Rome to be a fine setting to show off his collections of art and his library. The beautiful Italianate gardens feature urns, temples, obelisks and statues. New for 2006: Eight Old Masters paintings, including a newly discovered work by Rubens on display from Easter 2006.
