Welcombe Hotel & Golf Club

An 18-hole, par 70 championship course dotted with beautiful lakes and in rolling countryside is what's on offer at the Menzies Welcombe Hotel and Golf Club. The course is a gem as it is set 157 acres in the shadows of the Welcombe Hills. The course is unusual as it includes three par fives and five par threes and it's not long at 6,288 yards, but it is tricky. An imposing Jacobean style country house hotel adjoins the course and has undergone a major refurbishment programme thanks to Menzies Hotels who acquired it in August 2003. The clubhouse boasts an airy atrium, brasserie and bar with a terrace which overlooks the course and hotel grounds.
