Marriott Forest of Arden Golf Club

The Arden course has become a regular European Tour venue, a 7,134 yard challenge created by Donald Steel in 1970 and now maturing into a classic parkland course with many feature holes - but it can play long. Perhaps the 18th is the most dramatic, a 200-yard par three over a lake, following the demanding par five 17th where the green is guarded by a bunker and lake. The holes blend naturally among the majestic oaks but the thick, lush rough is punishing. The eighth is another short hole protected on both sides by water. The opening two holes are moderate but the back nine provides a most formidable test.
