Ilkley Golf Club
Ilkley is a tribute to the combined architectural skills of Alister Mackenzie and Harry Colt. Measuring 6,262 yards from the medal tees with a par of 69, it's tougher than it seems. Perhaps the most memorable are those along the river - the fourth is the first of two par fives and needs a drive over water - but from the eighth its the trees that will be the main worry, but it is a stunning backdrop to a lovely course on which Colin Montgomerie learnt his trade and which he says also retains a special place in his heart.
