Bingley St Ives Golf Club Ltd
Bingley St Ives, an attractive mixture of parkland, woodland, and moorland in 0one single loop, offers views along the Aire Valley, Rombolds Moor to the north and the magnificent Bronte Country is to the west. Hosted the Lawrence Batley International on the European Tour in the 1980s. Formed with nine holes in 1931 as a municipal club, it expanded to 18 holes in 1934, Alistair Mackenzie helping shape the early lay-out. In 1990 the members signed a long-term lease with the council. The toughest stretch is the run from the 10th to the 14th on the moors where the wind can blow. Miss the fairway and the heather is penal.
