Little Aston Golf Club

Little Aston, situated in the stockbroker belt of Birmingham, was constructed in the grounds of Little Aston Hall and laid out by Harry Vardon for ten guineas in 1908. Long with demanding carries, the mature parkland course is considered the best in the area. There are no trick holes and everything unfolds ahead - tree-lined fairways, cross-bunkers and substantial greens. A venue for many major amateur events, he professional British Masters was staged five times until 1969. A traditional member’s jacket-and-tie club always immaculately maintained. It’s an out-and-back course with a demanding par of 72 featuring three par 3s three par 5s. Water intrudes at the 12th where the lake funnels into the green and 17th with water on 3 sides of the green.
