West Hill Golf Club
West Hill is one of the many superb courses in the Surrey-Hampshire-Berkshire golf belt featuring an abundance of heather and mature trees. The scenic course was founded in 1909 by Mrs Marguerite Lubbock for her new husband Geoffrey. At 6,350 yards the course, with five pars including the demanding 212-yard 15th, is not long by present day standards but has changed little since the first professional Cuthbert Butchart designed the lay-out although much work has gone into improving the quality of the fabric and the presentation. The club has been home to the Father and Son Foursomes Tournament since 1931 and stages international, professional and county events.
