Royal Worlington has often been called the best nine hole course in the world and it does have some great holes. After an opening par five, there's a tricky, long par three of 220 yards and the third is one of best short par fours anywhere. The par three fifth has been known to reduce players to fits of laughter and the sixth is another is a terrific par four at over 460 yards and the seventh is a very tricky short hole. The eighth is another long par four with well-placed bunkers and caution is needed at the short par four ninth. There are alternative tees that allow the course to be played as 18 holes.

Course Statistics: 6210 yards, 9 hole, SSS 70 Green Fees: Visitors: £60.00 per day, £45.00 18-hole, £25.00 after 5pm. Guests playing with Members: £22.50, £15.00 9-hole. County Card Holders: £40.00 (all day) County Card Holders: £30.00 (18 holes) Visitors Info: Visitors are welcome on Saturday and Sundays, by prior arrangement with the Secretary.Visitors are advised to check in advance of their visit that the course will be available for them to play. It is a 9-hole course so visiting societies and Club matches do make it rather crowded. It is preferable to play on quieter days so the experience may better be enjoyed. Date Founded: 1893 Designed by: Tom Dunn Catering: Clubhouse catering service provides light snacks, home made soup, freshly made sandwiches, tea, coffee, home made cakes and a normal bar service. On Club Match and Society days a full four-course lunch is provided. Breakfast can be arranged and as always tea and cakes are available. All food is freshly prepared and cooked on the premises and the Club is renowned for the quality of its meals. A good selection of quality wine is always available at very reasonable prices.
