Burnham & Berrow Golf Club
Burnham and Berrow, a great links on the Somerset coast created by Alister Mackenzie and Harry Colt, has hosted almost every major amateur championship. In 2011, Burnham has the unique distinction of hosting the Brobazon and the R&A British Boys in the same year. The greens are like lightening and always in superb condition all the year round. The natural dunes and testing par-threes make Burnham one of the leading British links. The closing two holes, a testing par-three and a fierce dog-leg par four requiring two shots over dunes, usually against the prevailing wind, to a green protected by deep bunkers, can be card-wreckers.
