Blairgowrie, formed as a private members club in 1889, is situated in the heart of Perthshire countryside. In addition to the Rosemount and Lansdowne championship courses, the nine hole Wee Course formed part of the original layout designed by Alistair McKenzie. James Braid later had an input into the new Rosemount course that opened for play in 1934, using some of McKenzie’s original holes. Rosemount has hosted many prestigious professional and amateur tournaments and was the scene of Greg Norman’s first European Tour victory in the 1977 Martini event. The combination of heathland and woodland and fairways lined with pine and silver birch provides frames each hole. The Lansdowne course opened in 1979, designed by Peter Alliss and Dave Thomas.
