Sherwood Forest Golf Club
Sherwood Forest's reputation as one of the finest heathland courses in Britain is well deserved - it has staged many top amateur events including the 2006 England Boys Championships as well as being a regional qualifying course for the Open. Measuring 6,835 yards with a tough par of 70, it has 94 bunkers and features some long carries over patches of heather and other hazards. The back nine is the tougher stretch and the 11th to 14th must be four of the toughest par fours in a row anywhere as they measure 465, 426, 456 and 444 yards - no wonder they are described as Sherwood's version of 'Amen Corner.'
