Wellingborough Golf Club


An investment of £500,000 in 1999 saw all 18 greens at Wellingborough renewed plus work on bunkers, drainage and an irrigation system. That's seen the emergence of a very fine par 72 course of over 6,700 yards set in quiet parkland. Three holes stand out, the 166 yard par three fourth, which is played over water; the short dogleg eighth which needs a tee shot over or around the trees to the left of the fairway to give the best line into the green; and the 18th, another short par four but with plenty of trouble on the left and right, out of bounds at the back and a bunker on the right.
