Fulford Golf Club
Fulford will always be remembered for the Bernhard Langer third shot from the boughs of the ash tree on 17. The original course was designed by Alister Mackenzie and now has a length of almost 6,800 yards. Among the best holes on the outward nine is the tough par four fourth which requires a perfect drive to a fairway lined with trees, followed by the par five fifth rated as the hardest hole. The homeward nine may be shorter but probably is the better half and the 13th and 15th holes are demanding par fours while the par four 17th has an approach over a wide ditch.
