Pyle & Kenfig Golf Club
Pyle and Kenfig, 6,728 yards, par 71 off the back tees, is a course of two distinct halves with the back nine set amongst towering dunes with stunning views of Welsh mountains, the bay and the Bristol Channel. Mackenzie Ross used traditional linksland nearer the sea to add nine holes after the war to the original front nine laid out by Harry Colt in 1922 that offers easier scoring chances. The first genuine links hole is the 525-yard 11th Valley Hole while the best view is from the 416-yard 14th towards the Gower Peninsula. The final three par fours make a tough finish. The greens are fast and true.
