West Lancashire Golf Club
West Lancashire is the oldest golf club in Lancashire, founded in 1873, a perfect example of seaside golf. This great links course measures 6,768 yards, and is set in natural seaside terrain with immaculate greens. Eleven of the holes measure over 400 yards so by any standards it is a true championship course. It is also features humps and hollows in typical links style. Host to many championships, it is also a final qualifying course for The Open. One of the 24 clubs to contribute to the cost of the The Amateur Championship trophy in 1885. The clubhouse overlooking the ninth and eighteenth greens presents panoramic views across the Welsh Hills.
