Longcliffe Golf Club

Longcliffe is set on the lower slopes of Charnwood Forest and is covered in silver birch, oak, pine, beech, gorse and broom. An indication of it quality is that it has twice hosted the Curtis Cup team in preparation for their clash with the USA and has been the venue for the English Boys Championship. Long drivers may find the course a bit short, but they must be straight because of the tree-lined fairways. The seventh is a good hole as is the par five eighth but the 168 yard par three 15th with a pond on the left and a bunker right surrounded by trees is the signature hole.
