Longcliffe is set on the lower slopes of Charnwood Forest and is covered in silver birch, oak, pine, beech, gorse and broom. An indication of it quality is that it has twice hosted the Curtis Cup team in preparation for their clash with the USA and has been the venue for the English Boys Championship. Long drivers may find the course a bit short, but they must be straight because of the tree-lined fairways. The seventh is a good hole as is the par five eighth but the 168 yard par three 15th with a pond on the left and a bunker right surrounded by trees is the signature hole.

GREEN FEES FOR SOCIETIES: 12 - 24 players £38.00 per round, £48.00 per day 25 - 48 players £36.00 per round, £46.00 per day over 49 players £35.00 per round, £45.00 per day Visitors Info: The House Manager and his team, who will be happy to discuss any requirements with prospective visitors, maintain a high standard of catering service. The spacious dining room seats up to 120 guests. Societies Info: Inclusive packages are available to meet the needs of most societies, with combinations of meals and a choice of menu to fit in with 18 or 36 holes of golf. A scale of reduced green fees is applicable for large groups. A particularly warm welcome is extended to Corporate Organisations. Experienced assistance with the structure and management of Company Tournaments and Corporate Hospitality days is available. From Loughborough take A512 towards MI and Ashby-de-la-Zouch. At the end of the dual carriageway just after the filling station and before getting to J23 on M1, turn left at traffic lights. Longcliffe GC is on the right after half a mile.
