Brora Golf Club
James Braid had the vision to create something of great beauty at Brora says Ronan Rafferty. Little has changed since his visit in 1923 and the course can take your breath away. Brora has all the attributes of the Scottish seaside links - an easy opening hole, a short hole facing main point of the compass, gorse in profusion and the final green right under the clubhouse windows. The ninth, given its proximity to the sea is special as is the 13th and 17th, where the line is the lighthouse and from an elevated tee is one of the best driving holes in Scotland.
