Ross-on-Wye Golf Club

Ross-on-Wye was founded in 1903 but after several moves, eventually reached its present site from a JH Taylor nine-hole design at Rudhall in 1964 where Ken Cotton constructed the 6,451-yard course, standard scratch 73, from a densely forested tract of land. The tree-lined, sweeping fairways with holes running through mature forest cut through woodland place a premium on accuracy. There are many outstanding holes that run in every conceivable direction through trees. It was officially opened in 1967 and is developing into one of the outstanding courses in the Midlands-West area with undulating fairways and small greens.
