North Hants Golf Club

North Hants is a classic Hampshire-Surrey border course tucked among pine and silver birch trees, rhododendrons, heather, broom and gorse. Used as a regional qualifier for The Open, and home of the Hampshire Hog and the Hampshire Rose. Justin Rose played at North Hants as a Junior and still has connections with the club. The present 6,500-yard lay out was designed in 1904 by James Braid and reshaped by Harry Colt. The original clubhouse was replaced in 2003 before the club’s centenary when Donald Steel designed three holes as well. Lengthy par fours add to the difficulty of a par 70-course with large greens. Respite comes at the 489-yard third, the first of two par fives, played alongside the only water hazard to a green shrouded by trees. Country and Social Membership Available Corporate and Golf Days welcome Monday to Friday.
