Hayling Golf Club

A spectacular links considered the best on the south coast although it opens with a 170-yard par three and an ordinary par five before the more memorable holes soon come into play. The sixth, a 434-yard par four bisected by a water hazard that runs across the fairway, and the seventh, "Death or Glory", is a monster 490-yard par five demand precise ball-striking. The best sequence starts at the eighth, a short but tricky par four with the green hidden behind dunes. Every hole offers its own challenge and pot bunkers are best avoided. The 12th, a 444 yard par four tucked in the dunes and the 17th at 432 yds presents a tough challenge, a par is always greatly received! Wide open fairways, plentiful gorse and heather, thick rough and fast true greens.
