Nefyn & District Golf Club
A dramatic cliff top course overlooking the Irish Sea that is visible from every spectacular hole. Extended from nine to 18 holes in 1912, then J H Taylor and James Braid added nine more in 1933, although only 26 holes are now in play, featuring 10 outward holes and two separate loops of eight. Despite heather, blind drives, strategically placed pot bunkers and the strong chance of losing a ball or two, to play Nefyn is a wonderful experience. The first of the opening four difficult holes that run parallel to the sea is possibly the hardest, dropping down towards the cliffs. The 13th requires a 200 yard shot across the cliffs, every hole is different and the final eight holes on the Old course will remain a pleasant memory. A truly unique experience.
