Leven Links Golf Course

Leven has been used as a final qualifying venue for the Open Championship at St Andrews and is a true seaside course. The older part of the Links has been described as one of the best stands of Bent and Fescue in Scotland. Originally nine holes it became 18 as long ago as 1868. The strength of Leven lies in its strong finish when you turns into the prevailing west wind at 13 there is a lot of work still to be done. The 18th is reckoned to be one of the finest finishing holes in golf with a big green fronted by the terrifying Scoonie burn.
