Silloth On Solway Golf Club

Silloth sets a premium on being able to drive the ball well and with heather, whins and broom and some strong bunkering, the fairways seem narrower than they are. The course has stunning views of the Galloway Hills, Lakeland fells and the distant Isle of Man. At around 6,600 yards, it's a Regional Qualifying Course for the Open. The fifth at 499 yards is a genuine three-shot par five and the ninth at 121 yards is Silloth's version of the Postage Stamp while the 450 yard par five 13th is thought by many to be Silloth's signature hole with the green on the skyline and a tough approach usually into the wind.
