St Enodoc Golf Club

Peter McEvoy was the last architect to make adjustments to the magnificent St Enodoc championship links overlooking the Camel Estuary on the North Cornwall coast that has hosted numerous British and English championships, following James Braid who planned the course in 1907. Even the best fail to match the tough par of 69 for 6,243-yard course when the wind blows. On a calm day there is nowhere better and the super-fast greens will test the most accomplished putter. Sir John Betjemin is buried in the tiny church alongside the tenth hole. The giant Himalaya bunker, the highest of the sand dunes, is a trap to avoid on the sixth. There is also a second 18-hole Holywell course.
