The Turnberry (Kintyre)
Turnberry's second course Kintyre is Donald Steel's re-vamp of the old Arran course and opened for play in 2001 and it is much more than a make over. With some new land available, the result is a links which measures 6,853 yards it moves superbly along the coastline. The view at the short par four 298 yard eighth is magnificent. The hole has blind approach shot to a green which nestles in a rocky cove and it's followed by a tee shot at the par five ninth which will test anyone. The 10th completes a fine stretch of holes, but there's nothing to fault the rest of the course.
