Royal Aberdeen Golf Club

Originally known as the Society of Golfers at Aberdeen, founded in 1780, the sixth oldest golf club in the world is a traditional out and back links running along the shore of the North Sea. The first hole heads straight for the sea from the clubhouse. The next eight snake through towering sand dunes and run parallel to the shore. The tougher more exposed back nine on a high plateau, with breathtaking views over the North Sea, the Balgownie links feature all that is best in links golf - springy turf, impeccable putting surfaces, blind shots, some truly superb par-threes and plenty of holes where strategy is essential. Ends with a savage 400-yard 18th to the elevated green and clubhouse.
