Old Thatch Gardens

Old Thatch Gardens are recognised as gardens of exceptional quality, have been awarded a star in The Good Gardens Guide, feature in the Most Amazing Gardens in Britain and Ireland, and appeared on BBC Gardeners World. This two-acre series of gardens includes traditional, formal and contemporary. There are beautiful palettes of colour, stunning grasses and vistas through roses, clematis and lavender and the gardens are alive with the sights and sounds of wildlife. Old Thatch was the home of Enid Blyton in the 1920s and 30s when she was married to her first husband. It was at Old Thatch where she had her two daughters and wrote many of her stories. The thatched cottage (not open) is listed, and delicious home-made cakes are served in the old stables tea room which, according to Enid Blyton, contain secret treasures!
