Dunans Castle Woodland Garden
Dunans Woodland garden is a heritage garden accessed over the unique A’listed Dunans Bridge designed by Thomas Telford. The walk gives excellent views of the ruined B listed Dunans Castle, seat of the Clan Fletcher from 1746, and in Cambell ownership from 1590. The garden includes a ravine walk through ancient woodland, a marshland boardwalk through a wildflower meadow, an excellent collection of exotic rhododendron and azalea and big trees. Flowers noted are orchids, mixed daffodil, bluebell, wild garlic and lilly of the valley. Wildlife includes bats, breeding owls, water vole, deer, red squirrel. There is something for everyone.
