Dunrobin Castle Gardens
The formal gardens, with their arrangement of parterres inspired by the gardens at Versailles, present an impressive spectacle, especially when viewed from the Castle Terrace. It is planted in part with bright bedding and in part with bulbs and herbaceous plants. Recently another formal garden has been made, of wooden pyramids covered in clematis and climbing roses. In addition there are also fine woodlands through which visitors can walk at their leisure and a picnic area.
